VillageCo works by sociocracy-distributing power across circles rather than individuals. We believe in collective decision-making, where people come together to report, discuss, and shape all aspects of our work.
We work in small teams called circles

Decisions are made together through collaboration

Step 1: Attend an Orientation
Step 1: Attend an Orientation
Orientations are held on zoom 1-2 times each month. A recorded version is available for those unable to make the live calls.
Orientations go over our work as an organization as well as volunteering expectations and opportunities,.
Step 2: Visit a Circle
Step 2: Visit a Circle
Choose a circle to join (see above) and schedule a time to visit a circle meeting. For your first visitation, you will observe the meeting and have an opportunity to introduce yourself and share your reflections at the end of the meeting.
If it feels right, you'll be invited to attend a second meeting as a full participant.
Step 3: Make it Official
Step 3: Make it Official
Once you have been selected to join a Circle as a member, we'll schedule a 1:1 call with you to ensure you have everything you need to participate.
We'll get you setup on our software and answer any questions you have.
